Creating a Brand Visual Library

  • The brand faced challenges with stock libraries, which often failed to accurately represent specific markets. Images were frequently cropped and difficult to adapt for various applications, and many brands were using similar creative content. Additionally, location shoots were limited by budget constraints, allowing for only 10-12 images to be retouched and styled, further restricting the creative options available.

  • The solution and vision for our photography direction involved establishing a Brand Photography Library in the studio. This approach provided greater control on set, simplified styling, and offered a wider range of scenarios and setups, enhancing our creative possibilities.

  • The process for the photography shoot involved developing scenarios and shot lists that included casting, setups, styling, and props. I sought client approval on these elements before briefing the photographer and collaborating with the stylist. I participated in all stages of pre-production, the photoshoot itself, and post-production. Finally, I briefed the selected images for retouching to receive the final files for distribution across print and digital platforms.

  • As the lead creative, I conceptualised the photography shot list with scenarios centred around “Modern Family,” “Young Love,” and “Friends.” I provided detailed descriptions for each shot, including styling suggestions and recommended props, along with moodboards for reference. I was hands-on during the shoot, collaborating closely with the photographer and stylist while directing the cast. I can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable shoots I’ve ever experienced, and the results truly reflect that enthusiasm!
